Relax, relax, relax!

Although to our bed with a mosquito net hangs Marije is fully covered by the bites. We've barely seen so mosquito bites should come from other animals. If we in the morning at 7.30 on our porch an espresso are drinking (in the room is a Nespresso machine which we cups bought in the shop of the resort) lands a tiny black fly on Juriaans arm, he feels a small prick and within a few seconds creates a bulge: this is so the culprits! They are so small that they easily penetrate the mosquito net around here so can not seem to prevent .... Tonight but try to scare these creatures with DEET ....

The fixed daily program begins again at 8 am for breakfast, at 8.30 am at the dive and punctually at 9 o'clock we sail out. On the first dive site is quite some movement but it attracts large schools of fish and the view is breathtakingly good. We almost feel we are in an aquarium. We are today but with 6 divers so nobody swims each other's way when we least half an hour for a wall hanging where the schools of fish gather. The second half of the dive takes us to the flow along the reef. We find it again, again worth here every day to get up earlier than we normally do at home ;-)

With coconut, banana cake, coffee and tea (this is also the same every day) we head to the second dive site. A British woman who goes away tomorrow has asked us to be able Caves, the place behind our island where many turtles live. Visibility is better than 2 days ago and there are turtles everywhere. Turtles need air every half hour to get to the area and is a coming and going of turtles from their sheltered spot in the wall emerge, swim to the surface, take a breath and then back down. We have eyes in mind to get them from all directions to come and go. Today we learned from our guide that turtles often accompanied by one or more bat fish (they eat the feces of the turtle) and see that indeed almost every loszwemmende turtle on the foot (or fin ;-) ) Is followed by a bat fish. Totally awesome! If there's a huge stingray swimming underneath us and we got to the wall a lot of other stuff like fish and small crabs and shrimps see, understand why the UK this dive site has applied for her last dive!

Today we return early because the dive sites were relatively close to our island and we can say there clothes and lunch. After lunch we both plop down on a deckchair in the shade of a palm tree on the pure white powder soft beach hut for us. What a luxury and what is relax. We are the sound of the sea, the rustle of the palm and the heat a bit slower than normal and we therefore decide this day no third dive, it is after all as vacation ;-)

Friday night we eat at the restaurant that Far East such as the name suggests Asian food on the card are. With a good bottle of white wine, we test all Maldivian dishes like Maldivian Tuna Tartare, Maldivian Maldivian fish curry and fish soup. The latter is quite spicy and we have the bottle of wine beside a large bottle of water to extinguish the fire ;-)

Saturday morning we set sail again after a quick breakfast for 2 dives. It's not so good again (but in comparison to the messages we get from the Netherlands about the weather with rain and cold is obviously not too bad), there is much cloud and on the other side of the atoll is a heavy thunderstorm. The waves are also significantly higher than normal and 40 minutes this morning therefore quite bounce (long live the anti-sea sickness bands!). Under water, the light is slightly less beautiful than in full sun but otherwise we have no problems with the weather. The reef is beautiful with hundreds of anemones and clownfish that live there. And the water is still incredibly hot, about 31 degrees. Juriaans new 5 mm suit is really hot, but fortunately this suit a zipper on the front so Juriaan swimming with an open zipper. He looks like an Italian with an open shirt ..... Around us diving for 2 Dutch, 4 British and 4 Russians. The Russians are less pleasant company under water: they often kick against the coral make wild movements and chase the fish (and some other divers) continued the wits.

After the dive we bounce to the other side of the Atoll and our guide Andy draws on the chalkboard on which to dive the drawing of the dive site is created for the briefing some "tips" for the Russians how they should dive. We're going after an hour on the boat back into the water and we go so slow compared to the rest that virtually everyone within a few minutes out of sight: so quiet for two underwater ;-)

When we return to shower and have lunch and then pull our equipment again to put together a dive on the reef to make. The sun has broken through and the light under water is so beautiful at the end of afternoon. On the wreck we come back against the permanent residents: a puffer fish, the Napoleon Wrasse, the Bump Head Parrot Fish, Bat Fish and many others. It is a wonderful and long dive!

If we rinsed our gear and hanged have we dive into the pool and drink a beer. Just after we showered his fall from power on the island. It is surprising how pitch dark it suddenly is (where else in the evening lights are everywhere). Our creative neighbors use their phones for a little while to have our porch light illuminated by the laptop screen. We also once again looking for our phones and then see if they are in the bars and restaurants have found candles ;-)

The outage lasted about half an hour but when we walked into the restaurant, with the enlightenment of our phone as a flashlight, there was electricity. Again excellent eaten tonight in Franco's, Italian a la carte restaurant. In the background we heard the very mediocre cover band playing, no reason to watch. So enjoy our bottle of Chardonnay drunk and then sleep for tomorrow is for more than 7 hours the alarm again ;-) But then we awake on a beach idillysch with this view .....
